Meet our Director of Photography

Celeste Yumara Barbosa is a cinematographer raised in the San Fernando Valley. She has been working on sets for a decade, with projects ranging from commercial work, narrative shorts and feature documentaries, film essays, and music videos. Here latest film, “Eclipse”— a short she made with her sibling about her abuela’s goat farm in the valley— premiered at BAMPFA and won the Eisner Award in 2023. She is proud to be a part of a project that looks at Los Angeles through a Chicano experience, envisioned by a group of collaborators that know it intimately.
